i'm not sure if it's an interesting topic or a touchy one,

but maybe you would share how emoticons can be taken one step further from just being in dA. Like how it can progress to the other kinds of chats outside, making it world famous. And also, how this emoticons can be something in animation that people can learn to start from scratch if they know nothing about flash and animation. And then leading up to how this skill can be useful in the working world?

hot damn. i was waiting for that

try one for skype too since these two are quite commonly used.

it definitely beats the lame emoticons we're getting now..

And to add on to that, i've come across plenty of deviants who use the emoticons so much, they even : noes : on skype and msn even though there's no emote!

Ooh - you could do a section based on a different theme each week. If there aren't many emotes submitted in the week for the theme you've chosen maybe you could declare the theme in the current article so people could make a related emote for the next article?
