I don't know how points work, never used or received any.
But as far as money goes, $2 at most.
I paid $5 for my current one, but its larger and more custom than just a styled emote with words. I usually prefer to make my own avatars anyway...

I've yet to purchase points on dA and have only gotten few by trading in..uh...certain...*shifts nervously*...animals that are...*cough*...related to a camel

I would be willing to part with 200 points for an animated avatar like your example should I acquire any mass quantity of points.

50 points is only about 60¢.

That's awfully cheap, even for a simple avatar. Do people not realize how much points are worth?

It is certainly interesting to see how much people are voting for. When you think about how much time goes into one of these avatars i have to question if an hour's effort is really worth a pathetic 60¢ xD

I don't have a way of getting points on here since I don't have a bank account. So the only way I can get points is by donation or giving a llama in the point for llama exchange, which takes a while to build.
So....yeah, I'd only pay 50 points if I was that desperate. But, really, I'd make it myself. I'm capable.
