Welcome to the latest volume of so i herd u liek emotes??. This is the 125th volume in a fortnightly series aimed towards promoting emote and emoticonists from the dA community. It features emotes posted within the past few weeks from both well known and new emoticonists, as well as featuring emote projects, contests and news.
1.
Hanging on by =Indae is an amusing little scene and a fun variation on a contest theme. I love the details packed into the background especially the awesome water effect. Small additions like the eyepatch and emoticon expressions just add to the whole feel of the scene giving a great atmosphere.
2.
It’s hard to take your eyes of Boing by ~horber95. The flawless shading, adorable expression and smooth animation just make the emoticon flow and easily capture your attention.
3.
Being terrified of spiders myself i absolutely love Man vs Spider by `CookiemagiK. Everything from the emote’s expression to the spiders movement to the hitting effect fits together perfectly to make an emote many people can appreciate.

Space project
~Jenya88 has restarted an old space themed project. There’s still plenty of space to make an entry, so consider joining in
Tower project
`IceXDragon has started up a new tower project. The aim is simple – add an emote to the tower and see how high it grows. It’s a nice little project for emoticonists of all skills, so check it out.

Since my emote team recently took new management and became Monsters and Minions, and of course since October's coming up which means Halloween, I'd do a feature of 'Monsters'

And frankly I find it strange that all of your featured emoticons have been in mine...
And frankly i'm not surprised at all that the emotes are in both sets of articles as no doubt we both selected them on the criteria 'they were some of the best emotes posted recently' ...
Really now? I just picked the "most funniest recently."
