Master of Elements by ~KinnisonArc is a really impressive emote scene. Each of the elements gives an intense sense of power and the image in the middle just helps the elements flow together. The emotes in each corner fit really well and the expressions help give a sense of individuality to each Master.

The bright colours of the lava in Hanging on for Dear Life by ~PokeartKid really grabbed my attention. The details included in the whole background really help bring the scene to life and give a realistic feel to the situation.

CodePLZ - the emoticonist version#hq has just announced some more information on the whole 'codePLZ' concept and tbh, i had to read through the journal about 3 times to understand the termonology used. Therefore i decided to write up an 'emoticonists' version. This is my interpretation of what has been written. Let me know if any of the details are wrong.
What is codePLZ?
CodePLZ is a new feature that is currently in production to replace the current Emoticon Legend to allow more emotes to be used anywhere around the site. This means we wont be confined to only emotes on the 'official list' but allowed to pick and choose any 'chat friendly' emoticon available.
This feature would be implemented in the place of the long awaited 'emote dictionary' you may have heard about.
How will it work?
When you submit a chat friendly emote to your gallery, it will be given a unique code (similar to a thumbcode - possibly :emote2523422: ) which could be used in areas of the site where thumbcodes are not normally allowed (ie regul

Random Emote Awesomeness - Volume 11Volume 11 in the series that showcases a random variety of emoticons: some old, some new, some by seasoned emoticonists, some by new artists. There's no real rhyme or reason as to which pieces are featured. Sometimes I pick a theme such as animals, other times it's just whatever strikes my fancy. I found ~litecrush and =Indae’s entry to the ‘Opposites’ themed collab event a really interesting twist on the theme. Both sides have been nicely pixelled with a clever link between them to make a single great piece of work.

I just love how ~ROBlNHOOD has managed to animate a range of different water themed items into H2O in one fluent emoticon. Each has a great feel to it and some of the special effects really shine through

BlissfullySarcastic was a pen name of mine, and this account was originally for lurking and writing, so I figured I'd use the same name. Oxymorons...fun stuff.
How has deviantART changed your life?

As an emoticonist that struggles with expressions, i’m in awe of expressionmehm by ~LedMaiden. Each of the characters have been brilliantly made with awesome individual expressions which are easy to relate to

It was hard to stop my jaw hitting the floor when i first saw Emoticon Amusement Park by `Mirz123. The detail in the deviation is outstanding with fluent animation from start to finish. It’s hard to peel your eyes away from and definitely worth full viewing.

As someone taht has recently tried out minecraft, i had to giggle at Too Much Minecraft by ~Czar-the-Dragon. It’s cute and nicely made and really sums up how a minecraft addict feels.

Highway project

Support stamp project

I know i have promoted this before, but i feel it deserves another pimp in this article. A project has been started up to create a new emoticonist support stamp by accepting frames created by the community. Its a fantastic project, so check it out and consider joining it.
