I am your host, `stuck-in-suburbia and I want to thank everyone for letting me host the third annual Emote Awards! You know what they say, the third time's the charm.

Today, we celebrate those among us who have really excelled this year. However, I have a few guidelines for the acceptance speeches;

Don't thank your parents. They really don't want to know what you get up to online, or be associated with it.

Don't get on your soapbox, or talk at all about politics. If I wanted a nap, I would actually go to class.

Finally, when you're given your award, don't complain that it's not shiny. I'm sorry, but I ran out of glitter half way through.Now that I've rambled on long enough, we can get on to announcing the winners!

Aside from photography, it's the only chance my PS copy gets to be used for anything. When I'm on my laptop, I use MSPaint when I'm testing emoticon ideas and faces. Sort of like sketching.

Random Emote Awesomeness - Volume 13Volume 14 in the series that showcases a random variety of emoticons: some old, some new, some by seasoned emoticonists, some by new artists. There's no real rhyme or reason as to which pieces are featured. Sometimes I pick a theme such as animals, other times it's just whatever strikes my fancy. Below are the current group of awesome emotes hand-picked by me (and sometimes a guest). Much like the title, this News feature will publish a bit randomly. Maybe weekly, maybe every third Thursday, maybe three days in a row--but hopefully at least once a month.

I have 1 suggestion for the Journal:
I find that there isn't enough space between the Emotes in the "Other great emotes posted recently"

You only have to add <div class="thumbs"> _{and here the emotes ;D} </div>

and in the CSS:

And if you also think that the gap is too big now (like =phlum said) you can adjust it by changing the height and the width

I actually use 2 separate div classes, 1 for small and 1 for big thumbs. I use 90px for the small and 155px for the big thumbs
