How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Octopi Giveaway

I came back from uni this afternoon and after receiving the points from my latest round of commissions, found that I now have enough to purchase a second super group subscription for #Emotication. Personally this amazes me. I never thought the OCtopi would hit off this much and people would be so generous. I was happy when I reach the first subscription, and I'm just so excited that we've been able to double that and the group will now stay subscribed until 2014. So a massive thank you to you, the community.

To celebrate, I'm holding a mini giveaway. I understand that not everyone can afford the 80 points for a custom avatar, so I'm going to give away 3 free OCtopi avatars to 3 random deviants. To enter into this random draw draw an OCtopi using Muro in the comments of this journal

Zomg. That is soooooo adorable

=SparklyDest came up with the original idea of OCtopi. She crocheted an octopus (a croctopus) and it wasn't long before people started asking for custom ones of their OCs and the idea of crOCtopi was born. =SparklyDest then created some pixel versions known as OCtopi for birthday gifts for other deviants.

Wind forward to now, and =SparklyDest's birthday came up and I decided as a gift I would pixel my own version of her OCs as OCtopi. The result looked kinda cute, and I thought it would be nice to have my own version as an avatar. People started to complement me on it, so I thought it would be nice to open up commissions to raise points for a new #Emotication sub, and the idea quickly caught on xD
