It seems about time for a more personal journal, so here goes:
Life
Life has been fairly busy recently (what's new?). I seem to be forever running around doing a load of errands, though for once I seem to be completing things quicker than they can be added back on. Hopefully this means I can tie up a load of loose ends by Christmas and have a relaxing holiday period (unlike last year).
Saying that, I've been finding a nice balance such that I get some 'me' time along with helping out at a range of activities. I've also has a couple of opportunities open up recently and I'm just waiting on some replies to see what happens there.
I've also had the chance to visit the cinema a few times in the past few weeks, seeing both Thor 2 and Hunger Games 2. I was very impressed with Thor, and equally enjoyed HG2. I was just a little (well actually very) sad they missed out Haymitch's back story. But other than that, both were definitely worth seeing.
Movember
I decided this year that since I couldn't grow a moustache I would let my OC Syn grow one for me instead. With some help from NerdyGeekyArt, Syn's moustache grew steadily throughout the month, ending up with an impressive display of facial hair. In case you missed it, you can see a time lapse below.
Syn has now had a shave and is thoroughly embracing the cold weather in an epic avatar made by the lovely Krissi001.
Art
November certainly was a hectic month for art. I took part in NaNoEmo for the first time and found it an eye opening experience. Trying to make 30 emotes in 30 days is certainly a lot harder than it sounds, and it was interesting to revert back to making simple chat friendly emotes again.
I've also completed my entry for the Emote Advent Calendar but you guys will have to wait until my birthday (13th Dec) to see that
I'm also looking forward to seeing who I was assigned for the EmoteSecretSanta.

Speaking of the emote advent calendar, I would definitely suggest that all of you go and check it out. There are 2 calendars, one static and one animated, which reveal a new emoticon each day. It's a fantastic project and something fun to look forward to in the holiday season. You can find links to both calendars below:
