I'm not dead
I thought I'd just write a short journal to prove that I'm not dead. With my next 2 exams coming up next week, school work has basically taken over my life. I've been spending about 6-8 hours a day writing up notes and preparing for the range of questions that may come up in the exam. The time and effort seems to be working - I'm now reasonably confident with topics I didn't understand and I feel all the hours spent are making up for being a tad lazy last semester. I still have a way to go though, so I need to keep up this momentum for a little while longer.
I have had a bit of free time after each day of studying but it often leaves me demotivated to do much else for the day, hence why the amount of deviations, journals and even comments have dropped recently. I hope to get back to them at some point, but wont be for at least a few more weeks. If you think I've forgotten about something important then feel free to poke me - I do still check my messages every few hours. I also apologise if I'm a little snappy at some people from time to time. The stress and long work hours can sometimes put me in a bad mood and it doesn't take much to tip me over the edge. >.>
London devMeet
One thing I have to look forward to after all my exams is the London devMeet on 30th June. It's the third year it's running and although I haven't been before, I've heard it's always good fun so I'm considering going down for the day. I say considering, but I'm sure =Kyramy will beat my ass if I say no now.
If you are free on the day then do consider coming. Be sure to comment on the official journal
Emoticon Appreciation Day (EAD)
Today is the second annual EAD and this year ~Phlum is holding a range of events to get the emote community to join together and celebrate our art form. Be sure to check out his journal for more details and drop into the #EADchat to meet some other emoticonists.
