Amy
Ok, so the title isn't exactly true
Anyways, one of my modules is called Intelligent Robotics which as the name suggests is about programming robots to carry out a range of tasks. For this, each team is given a robot (which looks quite a bit like a Henry Hoover) and some kit and left to carry out weekly exercises. Our team's robot is named Amy (each is called after a Big Bang Theory character) and here is a short video of her
So far she doesn't do too much. Her programming means she avoids large objects such as chairs, walls and people whilst trying to explore areas in a room. She's fairly good at this though does occasionally knock past your legs or drive over your foot. She always reminds me of a toddler that you have to chase behind in case they go the wrong direction or get into trouble, hence the baby reference
Emotes + Art
It seems i've come back to emotes a bit recently which seems quite positive. I can't say i have the drive to want to make them constantly, but maybe thats a good thing saying i have a busy year at uni ahead of me. But being able to make them once in a while is a nice place to be in.
I am however still taking a step back from the emote community. I need some time off from being a 'voice in the community' and just aim to enjoy art and dA like i used to a few years ago. To tell the honest truth, i didn't enjoy diving back into the thick of things to add my comments on the recent dArama, but since it sucked me i felt i had to add my thoughts. I guess if anything it proved to me that i'm not ready to come back and should stick with the downtime.
I will however take some time to promote 2 ideas launched from the events last week, so check them out:

All that aside, that robot is awesome. I did something similar with a variation of C in my computer engineering class. Although it was made of lego and it's main purpose was to push other lego robots out of a ring. Kind of like Beyblades, only with robots. :'D
Keep it up with those emotes! Looking forward to seeing more.
In all previous years the uni has used the little lego ones but have bought in these research quality ones for our year
I love that the robot's called Amy - I love that character
And Amy is awesome. I thought she would just be another sheldon which would have been disappointing, but she's so much better
