Did you know .... Emotication offers a handy list of FAQs covering the basics of making emotes?

It can be rather daunting giving any new art form a go and more than often new artists can be left with a string of questions about how to get started. Over at Emotication we have created a short list of FAQs covering the basics of creating emoticons and some of the terminology used with the art form, to help give anyone interested in emotes a helping hand.

The list covers a wide range of topics ranging from 'which art program to use' to explaining what on earth the '5-2-1-2 pattern' is. Whilst some questions explain the answer in full, many link to other places around dA where the information can be found in more detail.

You can find a link to Emotication’s 'creating emotes' page here.

FAQ: I have a question that's not on the list. Where can I go for help?

The easiest answer is to ask another member of the community. This could be on their profile, via a note, or through an emoticon based group. The emoticon community is made up of a great bunch of artists who are approachable, friendly and willing to help. You'll find many learnt how to create emoticons from other artists and tutorials on this site, so are more than willing to lend a hand to the next generation.

Don't forget to also take a look through the rest of the pages here at Emotication, as there's a wealth of useful information stored in topics across this group.
