I can't because on dA or any other site (i haven't tried them yet though) it always comes out as transparent! :ohnoes:

I mean unless I used the Magic Wand Tool and it stuck to it...but I don't think that's it.

The only way I could make a tutorial is by showing people how to make a transparent background in Giffy, if that would be okay. ^^;

It just means your program is designed to start with a transparent background so you have never met the issue. If you don't know how, then there's no need to attempt it.

What's Giffy? I've never heard of that one

Well, because I have Photoshop 6 and haven't upgraded it (because it's really awesome) I use Giffy and UnFREEz to make animated emoticons. To use Giffy though, you have to save all your work as a .bmp or a .gif and then they can transfer it to a .bmp or .gif. But, when you save it as one of those two, they make a white background, but you can use the transparent button on Giffy and hit the background white so that it is transparent.

I would suggest finding some random tut that you like the layout of, probably one for emoticons, and 'explore' it so you get a feel for it.

I see, but I'm wondering how you can put emoticons and steps and programs kind of like in Kath602's tutorial, into a tutorial. ^^;

Hmmm...perhaps the problem is just looking at it from the wrong angle. Have you ever tried writing down a recipe? Same basic concept, just different ingredients.

It's a great program, except that it can only do one file at a time. :(

Ah...thanks anyways. :)
