Please note, i am not planning on re-opening this project. If i recieve entries i will still add them, but please don't go out your way to make one.

'Lo and behold The Emote Olympics 2008

As i'm pretty sure all of your are aware that the Olympics are currently taking place. So i thought it would be a nice idea to make allow all the emotes out of there to have a go in there own events. Below is a few details:

What size emotes can we submit?
To make it easy i've created everything in blocks of 50x50 pixels. Therefore you can do any canvas size (within reason) in multiples of 50 pixels. So if you wish it to be taller, a 100x50 pixel canvas is fine

Are you accepting animated entries?
Sorry but not this time. Static (not moving) ones only please

Do they have to have a background?
For this one yes please. You can either create your own, or use my template backgound here - [link] or the double height version - [link]
If emotes are submitted with a transparent bg, i will place it on my template background

How do i enter?
Draw out your entry, upload it somewhere on DA and please NOTE me with the link.

Do they have to be official olympic sports?
No. Let your creative juices flowing. Normal sports will be accepted, but so will any new sports you wish to create

Who can take part?
Anyone! Static emotes are very easy to make. So even if you haven't tried before, give it a go now. There is a list of good tutorials at the bottom of this journal - [link] and a set of emote bases here - [link] if your unsure about shading them yourself
